Exchange welcomes Regional Vice President
Regional Exchange Vice President Elizabeth Grantham was the guest speaker at the March meeting. In honor of the Exchange’s 99th birthday, she discussed reorganization of the national office, the history of the Exchange and current issues for District 10.
Oyster Roast a success!
Thanks to everyone who made it out for the Oyster Roast. Special thanks go to the Shakin’ Martinis for providing live music as well as an opening act. Over $3,000 in tickets were sold. Profits will fund the building and scholarship funds.
Speaking with HALOS
Kin Clifton with HALOS recently spoke to the Exchange Club. She explained her organization’s work with children facing DSS placement, guardians who need help readying homes for children and maintenance of a critical needs closet. The group also supports summer programs and a Kinship Care Program. Club member Debbie Bucher has volunteered to act as a go-between and find areas where the Exchange Club can assist this organization.
Upcoming events and news
Our next fundraiser will be hotdog sales at the Sea and Sand Festival. Be sure to visit the Exchange tent at the corner of West Huron and Center Street.
David Walters was named elections chair. Please forward any recommendations and nominations to him.
