Annual Cornhole tournament raises funds for Folly Angels
Dunes Properties is proud to sponsor the second annual Folly Beach Battle of the Bags, a cornhole tournament to be held from 12-5 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 8, at the Folly Beach County Park, located at 1100 West Ashley Ave.
The Battle of the Bags will be a double elimination tournament, organized and run by CPA Certified Directors from Board Spaces Custom Cornhole. The registration fee is $50 for each two-person team.
First prize will be a four-night beach vacation rental (valued at $1,750) and second prize is $250. Prizes are provided by Dunes Properties, and all proceeds from registrations will go directly to the Folly Angels, a non-profit organization benefiting Folly Beach residents battling cancer. Registration deadline is Nov. 6. Event begins with check-in from 11-11:30 a.m. and bags fly at 12 p.m.
The event is open to the public and admission to the park is free. Spectators are encouraged to come out and cheer on the competitors. The family-friendly event will include food trucks The Immortal Lobster and Food Box, a live DJ spinning tunes, a 50/50 raffle, face-painting, a jump castle, cornhole for the kids, and much more. The event is BYOB, with all alcohol to be contained within the Pelican Watch Shelter within the park. Glass is not permitted.
