11th annual cancer benefit includes live music stages, kids activities, and more

The Follypalooza Cancer Benefit returns to Center Street on Saturday, Oct. 20 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., raising money for local cancer patients and others with medical ailments as funds are available.
In the last year alone, Follypalooza paid more than $17,000 in local cancer patients bills, including a significant contribution to give one local a much-needed new roof.
In it’s 11-year run, Follypalooza has paid $80,000-plus in patient bills for more than 40 people in the Folly community.
This year’s event is shaping up to be another guaranteed good time for families and folks of all ages.
Music:
There will be three stages with six bands, including Sunny Ledfurd, The Ol’ 55s, The Joint Chiefs, and more. This music-geared festival will bring music of all genres, appealing to all musical tastes.
Free Kids Activities:
Good Clean Fun is back with Dancing with Dinos, glitter body art, spin art, and stilt walkers. The Folly Beach Library will also be out with kids crafts, complemented by some shell painting with local shells. And, of course, there will be inflatables and carnival games.

The Folly restaurants will showcase their talent on the street alongside more than 40 local arts, jewelry, and fashion vendors, just in time for Christmas.
Advance tickets are available until through Oct. 19 for $5 cash at City Hall or $6 online at VisitFolly.com. Tickets can also be purchased on the day of the event for $10 cash at the door or $11 online at VisitFolly.com. There is no credit cards processing available at the door.
