Annual Festival returns for its 29th year with a weekend of family-friendly events

From the Folly River Park straight to the beach, the Sea & Sand weekend will include the annual Miss Sea & Sand Pageant, an arts-focused street festival, as well as some healthy competition in the sand. Come join us for a weekend guaranteed to leave lasting memories on our eclectic island.
Miss Sea & Sand Pageant
Friday, Sept. 20, 7 p.m.
Folly River Park
Back for the 6th year, the Miss Sea & Sand Pageant will crown nine winners based on their age category, evening wear, hobbies, awards, volunteer activities, and of course, their love for Folly Beach! Open to females 4 years and up and males 7 years and under, the pageant categories include Tiny Miss (ages 4-5), Little Miss (6-9), Junior Teen (10-13), Teen (14-17), Junior Miss (18- 20), Miss (21-25), Miss (26+, single), Misses (any age, married) and a Little Mister category for males 7 and under. Additional awards will include the Donnie E. Wilkinson Spirit Award and Overall Miss Photogenic Award. Join us to watch all these beauties and cuties strut their stuff at the Folly River Park starting at 7 pm. Free admission.

Sea & Sand Street Festival
Saturday, Sept. 21, 10 am – 4 p.m.
Center Street
A day of fun in the sun, the Sea & Sand Street Festival will include up to 75 arts, crafts, and fashion vendors, raffles, live music from four (4) of Charleston’s top bands, two kid areas with lots of kiddo activities, and of course, our awesome Folly restaurants serving up some great food. Get your tickets today at the link below – $6 in advance, $10 at the door. Get them for $5, cash only, at City Hall and the Folly Beach Library starting Sept. 3. Sea & Sand Side Show (Kids Area):
Presented by the awesome folks at Good Clean Fun, the Sea & Sand Side Show will include Bubble Therapy, face painting, jellyfish on stilts, a mermaid to visit with your little ones, jugglers, and the instant ART-ification craft shack with two beach-inspired crafts by the Lowcountry Mammal Network and Charleston Waterkeeper. The Side Show is completely FREE for all event attendees!
Inflatables: The kids will certainly burn off some energy with the inflatables, one will be reserved for toddlers.
Arts, Crafts & Fashion Vendors: Center Street will be lined with local artisans – showcasing amazing talents in photography, all forms of painting, pottery, jewelry, handbags, wood working, clothes and more. There will also be fashion, housewares, soaps, gifts, and more – just in time for the holidays!
Live MusiC: Live music by four Charleston bands — Average Savages, Fancy Kool Aide, Bender Funk & Wylder Funk Band – playing a variety of tunes and genres so everyone, including kids, can bust a move.
Sandcastle & Volleyball

To wrap up this amazing weekend of celebration on Folly, there is nothing like spending the day on our best asset, the beach! Join us in front of the Tides hotel for a sand castle and volleyball competition. More details are forthcoming about each of these events, but these will likely be morning events based on the high tide!

• Tickets are only required for the street festival, all other events are free for spectators.
• Registration will be required to play in the Volleyball tournament — that will be available as the same link as the tickets.
• Sandcastle competition — free to enter. Two categories: Adults & Kids. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes given for each.
