The 3rd Annual Halloween Beach Sweep on Folly Beach is shaping up to be a spooktacular event! Scheduled for October 27, this year’s sweep promises not only to clean up the beach but also add a festive Halloween twist, making it a fun and meaningful community gathering.

Organizers will focus on the intercity areas, where cleaning efforts are most needed, ensuring that the sweep makes the biggest impact possible. Volunteers are the backbone of the event, and to show appreciation, participants will enjoy free parking and have the chance to join in some Halloween-themed fun.

For the first time, the Halloween Beach Sweep will feature a costume contest at Lowlife, reserved for volunteers sporting special Halloween wristbands. Prizes will be awarded to the top three best costumes, with winners receiving engraved wooden plaques and additional prizes for their creativity.

This is a wonderful opportunity for locals and visitors alike to show off their best Halloween attire, contribute to a cleaner beach, and enjoy some spooky fun. So grab your broom (and maybe your costume), and join the Toby Sweeps team in making this event the most memorable yet!
