He works the eighty eights with a strong sense of rhythm and his voice has a textured, evocative edge that is equally at home with pop tunes, blues, ballads, jazz standards, and country tunes.
Ed has played with some of the best sidemen in the business, including two years with Jeff Watkins (formerly with James Brown) and another two years with Elliott Fikes (formerly of Little Anthony and the Imperials).
Currently, he is playing solo gigs and leading the “Porkchop Meyer Band” as well as playing with other local groups.
